How to Play Memory

  • 1The board starts with 24 playing cards placed face down — 12 matching pairs hidden among them.
  • 2Click any card to flip it face up and reveal the symbol underneath.
  • 3Click a second card — if the two symbols match, the pair stays face up and you score points.
  • 4If they don't match, both cards flip back face down. Remember what you saw — that's the game!
  • 5Clear all 12 pairs to win. Fewer flips means a higher score — try to beat your personal best time.

About Today's Daily Board

Every day at midnight, MemoryFix generates a brand new board with a fresh arrangement of 12 pairs. Today's board is the same for every player worldwide — come back tomorrow for a new challenge.

Memory — also known as Concentration — is one of the oldest card games in existence, played in some form for over a century. It's a genuine workout for short-term memory and pattern recognition, making it one of the best daily brain training exercises you can do in under five minutes.

The fewer flips you take to clear the board, the higher your score. A perfect game would require exactly 24 flips — one flip per card. In practice, anything under 40 flips is excellent play.

Tips & Strategy

Start by flipping cards in a systematic pattern — row by row — rather than randomly. This gives your memory a structured layout to work with. When you flip a card and don't find its match immediately, make a mental note of its position. The next time you see its pair, you'll know exactly where to go.

Focus on the corners and edges first — research shows that people tend to remember card positions at the edges better than the center, so clearing those early can reduce your flip count significantly.
